Cornish Heritage Projects

A summary page providing links for new or ongoing Cornish heritage projects being carried out throughout Cornwall. These may be by larger heritage organisations, town teams, smaller societies and groups or individuals.

Kowethas Ertach Kernow hope to provide a webpage with information and links for each project to be updated as and when details of activities or events are advised to us. This will enable us to promote the project across a range of media in Cornish regional newspapers and a various of social media sites and platforms.

There will be updates as advised to us by the project organisers, many will have events and activities so please keep checking out the project you are interested in or supporting. 

Cornish National Music Archive - Music of the Roseland

This project is ongoing throughout 2024 with various events and activities taking place throughout the year.

East Looe Town Trust (ELTT) - OLS Regeneration

Old Lifeboat Station (OLS) and Watchtower Heritage Led Regeneration Project revitalising a historic building and preserving it for future generations 

Cornish Tea Treat Project 

This is a tripartite project involving three Cornish heritage groups; Cornish National Music Archive, Cornish Story and the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies. 

The aim to collect and preserve knowledge about Cornish tea treats which were an important part of Cornish life during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Golden Tree Production Projects

Golden Tree carry out a number of projects at any one time including the Kerdroya Labyrinth Cornish stone hedge project on Bodmin Moor. They also run the Go Cornish Kernewek language online project and also within a number of schools throughout Cornwall.

FOCS: Heritage Taster Days (West Cornwall Heritage Day)

The Federation of Old Cornwall Societies are holding a number of heritage days in east, west and mid-Cornwall during 2024. These are being held at Hayle 12th May, St John on the Rame Peninsula on 30th June and Newquay during October/November.

Nansledan Art Festival 

Plans for a Cornish themed arts festival at Nansledan, the new Duchy village on the outskirts of Newquay are underway. Although in its early stages a date has been set for 20th and 21st September. More information to follow with links in due course.
