Museum & Gallery
Association for Cornish Heritage has a museum room and research area at Newquay Heritage Archive & Museum. This museum is shared with our partners Newquay Old Cornwall Society, which also has its own museum room and archive.
Our museum room has a gallery of vintage Cornish art dating from the mid 19th century together with contemporary artwork by local artists. There are displays of vintage Cornish studio pottery as well as exhibitions and displays of Cornish interest.
The research area has a number of examples of historic Cornish maps from the collection many dating from the early 18th century. There are also a number of historic engravings together with books of views from the 1830's. These help show something of Cornwall's early towns and buildings.
These older views of Cornwall are often of special interest to people researching their Cornish family trees as they provide some context to their research.
We hope in due course to be able to add galleries showing larger number of items linked via the images below. This currently gives examples of the range of items held in the Association for Cornish Heritage collection.
