The society through its sub-groups carries out extensive outreach work by way of exhibitions and visual presentations. Volunteers have worked extensively with a number of project partners in the Cornish heritage, art and environmental sectors.

The Newquay society covers a number of other surrounding parishes including: Newquay, Crantock, St. Columb Minor, Cubert, Colan, St. Newlyn East, St. Mawgan

A number of Kowethas Kernow Goth Tewynblustri members have been honoured with a Bardship of the Gorsedh Kernow, the Gorsedh of Cornwall. The Society has a banner, one of the finest of all ‘Kernow Goth’ societies, in its centre is a pilchard on a shield. This is paraded at a number of events relating to Cornwall’s history and heritage throughout the year.

Membership helping support lectures and activities for members as well as the work the society does in supporting Newquay and Cornish heritage has a membership fee of £10.00, due annually on 1st September. This may be paid at any meeting, bank payment or directly to the Membership Secretary.
