Cornish Mental Health, Wellbeing and Support

It is increasingly being shown that interest and activities relating to heritage can benefit a communities mental health and wellbeing. There are also a growing number of opportunities for people who for many reasons may not be able join the traditional workforce. That does not mean they are unable to contribute to their local community or society as a whole and herein lies a potentially mutually beneficial relationship between the wide ranging heritage sector and organisations supporting those with disabilities, mental health issues including addiction, learning disability or learning impairment and those on the autism spectrum.

Kowethas Ertach Kernow is compiling a list of organisations within the Cornish mental health, wellbeing and support sectors who may be able to work with organisations in the heritage sector to their mutual benefit and for the people they support.
